Meet Your Course Lead: Prof. Anwar Khan

Anwar Khan is a passionate design educator, social entrepreneur, & sustainability designer.
With a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Mumbai University and a diploma in Advanced Fashion Technology from L.S. Raheja, he shifted to fashion design to follow his creative passion. He later earned an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship, focusing on Sustainability Management from NMIMS University, Mumbai, further enhancing his expertise in sustainable design practices. Anwar has worked with organizations like Adity Design, Myntra Designs Pvt. Ltd., and Craftsvilla Handicrafts. He was one of the 11 designers selected for Myntra Fashion Incubator, where he founded his sustainable women's wear label, SUO, specializing in zero-waste fashion. His business model gained recognition at Fashion Colloquia Jaipur 2020 and the Atal Incubation Centre under Niti Aayog. SUO’s sustainable collection was also showcased at Blender’s Pride Magical Runway in 2020. With over 10 years of combined industry and teaching experience, Anwar specializes in the design process, sustainability, creative pattern making, garment construction, and fashion technology. His goal is to inspire students to blend creativity with sustainability, equipping them to lead the future of fashion with responsible and innovative practices.

You’ll need a computer with sufficient processing power to run CLO-3D, a regular mouse (compulsory) , a stable internet connection, and the CLO-3D software purchased on student ID and installed in the computer system.

You’ll gain hands-on experience using CLO-3D, preparing you to excel in roles like fashion designer, digital fashion designer, pattern technologist, virtual stylist, design director etc.
The course is self-paced and designed to be completed over 15 weeks, with approximately 3 hours of engagement and 2-3 hours of practice per week.
Yes, the course includes hands-on assignments and a project. These tasks will help you practice key techniques, refine your digital designs, and build a portfolio showcasing your expertise in CLO-3D. Feedback will be provided to help you improve your work.
Yes, you will have to submit your assignments and projects on Google Classroom on time without delay for all assignments and projects.
Yes! There will be offline session every 4 th week where you can engage with the instructor. You can also meet the instructor on campus at the assigned time. You also interact with the instructor and other fellow learners on Google Classroom, post your queries, share your discoveries with your instructor and classmates.
Live online Q&A sessions with all the learners will be scheduled during the course and a master class with industry experts.

No prior experience is required. The course is designed for beginners and will guide you step-by-step through the essentials of CLO-3D and digital fashion design from the very basics. However, familiarity with softwares like Photoshop & Illustrator will help and basic of pattern making knowledge will add value to the learning of CLO-3D.
